Brian Kozera was born and raised in Long Island, NY.  He has always had an extreme sense of loyalty for his community and the safety of others.  At a young age, he served as a volunteer Firefighter for the Centereach Fire Department in the town where he grew up.  Shortly after graduating High School, Brian joined the United States Navy where he served proudly for four years during the Persian Gulf War.  After the Navy, he continued his Military career by serving in the US Army and the National Guard for four more years.  Later on in his career, he also served as an Army recruiter. 

 

In 2010, Brian started his multi diverse career in Law Enforcement.  During Brian’s decorated career, he worked many years on a tactical street crimes Narcotics and Burglary suppression unit until he was promoted to Vice and Narcotics as a Gang Detective.  Because of his expertise in the field, Brian was asked to work alongside the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) task force to investigate and document several high-ranking county first responder employees that were identified as Presidents of their “one percent” organized motorcycle clubs.  Later, Brian switched roles to Patrol Corporal where he supervised and trained a full squad of young, deputy officers. 

 

After retiring from law enforcement, Brian became a Certified NRA Instructor, and with his own company, is currently teaching Concealed Carry Training classes in New York; he is also a shooting instructor in Florida.  He obtained his Class D Security Officer License and his Class C Private Investigator License and has been trained in Executive Protection.  Brian is currently employed as a private investigator for a Florida and New York based company investigating homeowner insurance claims between the two states. He also works for a second company investigating auto insurance fraud claims.

 

Brian’s many areas of expertise lie heavily in Investigations for high-profile crimes.  During his career in the US Military and Law Enforcement, he also became an expert in many different facets of fraud, vice, narcotics, property crimes, and executive protection. He also has infinite experience with firearms.  Brian has recently been developing presentations and teaching workshops on Active shooter training and Workplace Violence Prevention. He also created and conducted a training course to insurance company Claims/Field investigators about Gang Identification.
