Tom Pettis is a Private Investigator in the Tampa, Florida area. Prior to being licensed as a Private Investigator, Mr. Pettis served for 22 years with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office he was assigned to various sections to include, Uniformed Patrol (FTO), Child Abuse Section Detective, Homicide Section Detective and Crimes against Persons Detective. Mr. Pettis was also a member of the S.I.R.T (Special Incident Response Team). During his career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office he was recognized as an expert in crime scene forensics as well as an expert criminal interrogator. 

Mr. Pettis has obtained multiple certificates of training from various Universities and, Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the United states for course work relating to Law enforcement.  Mr. Pettis has also completed the Combat Lifesaver Training Course (IAW AR 350-1 & DA PAM 350-59) at MacDill Air Force Base.

Before entering a Law Enforcement career, Mr. Pettis served as a volunteer firefighter & E.M.T for over 10 years with the Prince Georges County Fire Department near Washington, D.C.

           

Mr. Pettis is also an avid “Cross-Fit” enthusiast and long-distance runner.
